Damn, I couldn't stop myself...
Let me echo Linas' sentiments.

Add to that the fact that I tried very hard to provide some
comprehensible answers to the fellow in question. He apparently ignored
them. Phooey on him, then. He's rude, abrasive, abusive, arrogant, and
self-righteous. He discounted the work of the developers quite
vociferously. This fellow wasn't having any problems that were not of
his own ignorance (evidence points to lack of knowledge about rpm and
unwillingness to learn--perhaps a move back to Slackware would suit
him).

For yourself (no, not a lashing), I see two messages in the archives
from you. One back in June was satisfactorily answered. The other one
was in November, and appears not to have been answered. Someone must
have thought the question was too vague or didn't understand it, or
maybe it got lost in the shuffle. I, and others even more so, spend
considerable effort trying to help others where my knowledge permits.=20
To suggest arrogance because one question you've asked in gnucash-user
in the last two years didn't get answered is preposterous.

Unless you've posted under a different name, in which case, let me
know. I'll grep through the archives and try to provide a helpful
answer.

Regarding clearing Splits (Mon, Nov 18 message), presumably you mean
"Remove all the Splits from the current transaction but keep the
transaction open"? This feature is, I believe, to be part of the 1.8.x
tree.

There.=20
Merry Christmas, or Yuletide, or whatever...
