Currency symbol

I am back to using Mandrake 7.2 with gnucash 1.4.7, since my computer is too 
slow for 1.6.4.

I am using AUD, but I notice that totals in reports always have the symbol 
for GBP, which appears to be the default currency.  Has this been fixed in 
later versions?
