Backup To Floppy?

What is the best way to back up my GnuCash accounts?

I've tried to 'save as' to a floppy and it says not enough room on
diskette. On my hard drive at /home/richard/GnuCash/ it saves an
executable file named 'Richard' along with a series of Richard.____.xac
and Richard.____.log files. The blank represents a 14 digit number such
as 20020305110755. Are all of these files required for backup or could I
just save one or two to my floppy? What is the purpose of these file
formats and why so many for a single save?

Any help appreciated.
