That is the way that RPM's work. The only reason you don't see the rest
of the huge long list of packages that gnucash relies on is because you
already have them installed.

Linux is really down on the concept of staticly linking in everything
you could possibly use. Dynamic linking makes the executables (and their
memory use) far more efficient. And we don't include every possible
library in our packages, because our packaging systems are designed to
tell you what you need on installing so that you can install it
yourself, as opposed to just putting in whatever the person building
happened to have lying around. That way, you always know what is
installed on your system, and when it comes time to upgrade it is very
easy to do so.
