No, you missed my point.

I'm saying that it is pointless to release an RPM of one package while
withholding the RPM for another package that the first one depends on.  If
you do that, then the first package is useless because no one will be able
to install it.

Under normal circumstances, the RPMs for all of the other required packages
would be available.  Not necessarily from the gnucash site, but available
*somewhere*.  But in this case an RPM for the required version of g-wrap
was not made available *anywhere*, so there was no point in releasing an
RPM for a version of gnucash which depends upon it because no one could use
that RPM.
