And if Perl happens to be the language of your choice, there are lot's
of XML modules in CPAN and Spreadsheet::WriteExcel makes it easy to
create Excel spreadsheet files from Perl. It really shouldn't take
too much Perl scripting to export data from Gnucash to Excel.
