My fonts are clobbered; gnucash won't run

Not sure if anyone helped you on this, but it's not really a GnuCash
issue. You X applications are looking for fonts, but cannot find them
because you commented out that line in your XF86Config file. Now you
applications that relied on X for font info cannot get that font info.
A key question is, what has changed on the system in the last week or
so. Did you install new software? Have you deleted any files? Another
possibility is that the font server (xfs) was not running--it
occasionally crashes. On my RedHat machine, if that happens, I
generally try to run "/etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs restart", to get xfs back up
and running. You may want to try that (if a reboot hasn't fixed things
up for you since you posted...)
