I have not. I compiled from source. SuSE 8.2 was a little easier it seemed to 
me to compile on than 8.0 and 8.1

However, you will need to compile g-wrap, OpenSP, and OXF on your own in order 
to be successful.

I installed all to /opt/<name of package> . I also uninstalled the GC 1.8.0 
rpm (after installing to make sure I had all the necessary dependancies). I 
had to then do this to install GC:
./configure --prefix=/opt/gnucash1.8.5 --enable-ofx 
--with-g-wrap-prefix=/opt/g-wrap

That last bit is because GC was not finding g-wrap in /opt so I had to tell it 
where it was installed. You can see other options with ./configure --help
