missing libgdk_imlib.la

While building 1.8.0 on my SuSE 8.0 box, I also had this problem.  Configure worked fine given the --with-gnome-... options, but the make tripped on a couple of these, including libgdk_imlib.la.  I got 1.8.0 to compile by symlinking to /opt/gnome/lib, and it seems to run ok.

I also had problems with libgnomeprint.so, but a symlink seems to have fixed that as well.
