Any distros have GNUcash 1.8.x yet?

Other methods have been suggested, but here's one that works for me. I
have an account set up just to run gnucash. Then, anyone who needs to
run it can be set up with a key to ssh to that user account. This
allows not just multiple users, but we can run it securely from any
machine in our local network. I just alias gnucash to "ssh -X
user at host gnucash" and it all works transparently.
