Fraction of Shares

Dear GnuCash-users,

I have some problems setting up transactions containing fractions of
certain shares. Within the Commodity Editor I have entered a fraction of
1/1000 for a special fund. But when entering a transaction I am not able
to give that precision, the value of the number of shares gets rounded
to two decimal places when leaving this field of entry. Hence, all
further calculations, such as price and balance, are imprecise.

What am I doing wrong?
I am using GnuCash version 1.6.7. - is it a bug that's fixed in newer
versions?
