QIF import path

When I first set up gc I had made a cd-r of my quicken data and imported
the data from /mnt/cdrom/... . 

Whenever I now import a .qif file (and I'm using my /home/.../gnucash_
...) and use the browse function to select the proper path it winds up
being overridden by the original cdrom path. I have to type in the
correct path each time. Is there a way to eliminate that original path?
or another work-around? TIA, Bill
