Gnu Cash 1.8.2-1 on Redhat 8.0

Are you sure you installed the RH8 versions of g-wrap and gnucash,
and not the RH7 versions?  Yes, it makes a difference.

Another thing you can try is running 'strace gnucash' and seeing what
library is failing to be found.
