The problem is reproducible on Debian machines so don't bother sending
a core dump. Debugging has, so far, not been helpful. My guess is the
problem is due to a patch that Debian applied to a gnome library. Feel
free to recompile gnucash with debugging if you want to look into the
problem. Note, though, that it will probably dissapear when gnucash
moves to gnome 2.

The only problem with the temporary patch is that it disables the
default key accelerator for the menu.

BTW, the next upload should get into unstable today.
