I don't know if it is necessarily a missing transaction or a mis-imported
transaction. I presume you started from a clean data file when you ran
the import, right?

And for the record, reporting problems is NOT bothering me, and answering
my questions while I'm trying to work through it is ALSO not bothering me.
I want to make sure all these problems get solved, and I'd rather do
it sooner rather than later... Would like to get the fixes into 1.8.4.

I'm going to wade through the archive messages (downloading them now) and see what I can find before I trouble you any further. May be back in a few days if I can't fix it myself. Thanks.
>
> Regards,
> Brad
>
>
>
>
> --- On Fri 05/23, Derek Atkins < warlord at MIT.EDU > wrote:
> From: Derek Atkins [mailto: warlord at MIT.EDU]
> To: brad_mcneely at excite.com
> Cc: gnucash-user at lists.gnucash.org
> Date: 23 May 2003 18:47:13 -0400
> Subject: Re: Account balance 0 after QI!

Now my problem of not being able to import because of split transactions is gone, but after I import my QIF file, the accounts show up with all of the transactions, but there are no dollar amounts in the transactions and the account balance is zero. The only accounts to have a non-zero balance is my stocks which seemed to have come over OK. I was importing from a Quicken 2001 QIF export. By the way, thanks for all of your help.
>
>!
