g-wrap command not found

There is no such thing as a "g-wrap" command.  Given that you've
admitted to commenting out error checking, I don't see any point in
pursuing this line of investigation.

Back to your original problem Erin:

> checking for g-wrap-config... (cached) /usr/local/bin/g-wrap-config
> checking for g-wrap... no

Remove your config.cache file and try again.
