Problems importing 1.4.9 data into 1.8.7

  Hmmmm..... maybe I'm going about this all wrong. Right now I'm
 working through the various issues of compiling 1.6.6 under
 RH9. I'm up to the point of dealing with guile issues in the
 make files.

   in directory: gnucash-1.6.6/src/guile

ERROR: missing or extra expression

  which I think will soon be followed by:

ERROR: Unbound variable: gw:generate-module

  Perhaps I should just back up and get some RH 7.3 ISO images
 and update my 7.1 disk followed by RPM installation. Maybe
 RH 8.0 instead? Hmmmm.... what do you think?
