How to make a bar chart of one account

I've been trying to make a barchart of one expense account, in this case 
groceries, but I can't seem to figure it out. I can get a pie or bar 
chart of all expenses in my master file but I'm looking for something 
along the lines of 'here's how much you spent on groceries in each month 
in this specific time period.'

I thought it might be due to a guppi issue about which I posted earlier, 
but I _can_ get the charts; just not the one or style I want. How is 
this done?
