How to physically import Quicken files?

My question means:

How do I physically import my Quicken files from a Windows Quicken
machine to a Fedora Quicken machine?

I copied my recent Quicken files to a cd-r on the Windows machine.

It turns out, then, that after copying the Quicken files to the cd-r in
the windows cd rom drive, my Quicken files have names which end in
.QDF .QEL .QPH .QSD.

None of my Quicken files end in .QIF.

So my first question is: How do I get the Quicken files copied as .QIF
format on the Windows machine? And--- is it necessary?

Second question:
Once copied as .QIF files how do I get the files onto the hard drive
of the Fedora Linux machine?

I installed the Windows-created cd-r with its Quicken files in the
cdrom1 drive of the Linux machine.

After mounting that disk I CAN open the cd-r disk and the screen shows
a list of the Quicken files with their names.

But, I can't open the files in the Linux Fedora machine.

What steps must I take to somehow move the Quicken files from the cd-r
in the Fedora Linux machine to the hard drive of that machine?

Thank you very much.
