More specific reports on sub-expenses

Sirs and Ma'ams:

I'd like to generate a report of expenses... but none of the current ones fit my
need. I'd like a bar chart, but only of specific expenses in my listing. In my
particular case, I don't want to include things like rent and bills; rather, I'd
like to specifically chart discressionary expenditures.

More generally, I'd like to generate a bar chart of a subset of the possible
expenses. Perhaps I could choose them using checkboxes from a list, or perhaps
it could be similar to the way iTunes (and other OS X apps) do searching or
filtering -- a "match all" or "match any" of a list, where the user can add
additional lines.

In my case, I'd have something like:
"match any" of
 * Expenses: Dining
 * Expenses: Entertainment: Movies
 * Expenses: Entertainment: Music
 * Expenses: Hobby

I could imagine this report being incredibly useful for both home users and
business users, because it allows the user to focus on the subset of expenses
that are most interesting. In my case, "fixed" expenses such as rent and
utilities dwarf other expenditures, making the charts less useful.
Additionally, the default categories aren't optimal for my interests.

Does this feature exist? If so, do tell! If not, is this a "planned feature"?
 Should I fill out a feature request on bugzilla? Is this something I could
hack together myself? Is it in scheme? Do tell!

Thanks a $1,000,000.00
