Downloading quotes

I did an rm on ~/.xinitrc and copied the contents of .profile (which 
consisted of "test -r /sw/bin/init.sh && . /sw/bin/init.sh") to  
.bashrc, and now it works. I'm still not quite sure what's going on, 
though.
