QFX import, unreconciled transactions window chopped off...

Gnucash 1.8.7 on SuSE9.0. It's a severe PITA to get 1.8.9 installed plus 
yast continually whines about it.

tried importing a QFX file and the unreconciled transactions window that 
popped up had text in it with an unknown amount of the left side of the 
text chopped off. The text disappears when the window is resized after 
the text appears, and is still chopped off if the window is resized as 
soon as it opens. It appears as if there might be selections to make and 
the buttons are in the chopped off part of the text, as clicking OK does 
nothing.

THis occurs with KDE and Gnome.

Is this some SUSE buggery or something more easily curable? Or must I 
upgrade?
