I'm not sure if this is a GnuCash issue, or a lack of understanding of the
terms on my part, so if this is not the right place to ask please accept my
apologizes in advance.

Here's the problem: when setting up a scheduled transaction for a recurring
transfer from one account to the other, I came up with something like this:

Date | Num | Description | Account | Debit Formula | Credit Formula
Scheduled | | Auto transfer | | |
          | | | FromAcct | amount |
          | Buy | | ToAcct | | amount/rate

Without going into too much detail, FromAcct is a bank account and ToAcct is
a mutual funds account (within the same bank). So, what this does is record
an automated purchase, which seems common enough. (Of course, "amount" is a
fixed value, and only "rate" is a variable.) The way I interpret this, it
debits (charges) FromAcct for "amount", and credits "amount" divided by
"rate" to ToAcct. That is exactly what I want.

However, when I exit this transaction in the template transaction editor, the
two last columns change their titles - to "Tot Funds In" and "Tot Funds Out",
respectively. So all of a sudden "Debit" becomes "Funds In", and the other
way around.

This doesn't seem right at all to me, or am I missing something very basic?

Many thanks in advance.
