You should ask about this on the list. I don't know much about FreeBSD,
but I thought they were also using the POSIX locale concept.

You need to make sure, that you have the locale installed, which you
want to use. Try "locale -a" to show installed locales, and you should
also read the locale man page.

But maybe FreeBSD has a different locale concept, than you should ask
someone who knows about FreeBSD.
