It's not needed.  If I think the data it contains needs security,
I would install a gnucash user, and only run gnucash as that user.
That automatically gives it a password.  Normal UNIX permissions
will either allow or disallow people to view files owned by the
gnucash user.  If that isn't sufficient, there are ways to encrypt
files or filesystems.  The decrypting will involve another
password (or passphrase).
