How create datafile from hand that GNUcash can understand/import?

Only in the source code..  But as of right now there is no way to
"import" a gnucash xml file into another data file, and the odds of
you creating a complete data file on your own is rather low.

Much easier to print out a QIF file and import it into your existing
data file.
