New user attempting installation-dependencies

I installed Fedora Core 3 on my system as Gabriel suggested and gnucash
installed flawlessly. I was very pleased. I imported my Quicken QIF files
and it looks like a winner.

My only problem at this point is printing checks. I'm using wallet size
checks--3 to a sheet. I can use the "custom" settings to move the field
locations around the check, but I haven't figured out how to change the
font size. The font is a large courier font. This may likely be a printer
issue or printer driver issue. I'm using a Lexmark Z32 and gnucash is
printing to a generic postscript printer. In other Fedora apps, I get a
Lexmark choice in the print dialogue box.

Thanks, everyone, for the helpful suggestions.
