Bill,

I respectfully disagree.

I have just verified this on my SuSE 9.1 / GC 1.8.8 setup, and an older box
still running SuSE9.0 / GC 1.8.7.

In a _register_ window, (tried it for Credit Card and Bank account types only)
the reports menu has 2 entries : Account report and Transaction report. the
toolbar button is a shortcut to an account report.

Once these reports have been generated, the options button produces a dialogue
box with 2 tabs - Display, where one can select columns to show, and General,
where one can set title, name and stylesheet. nowhere for _these_ reports
can I specify a date range.

However, if one uses the Reports menu from the _main_ gc window, then one can
of course generate a transaction report (and possibly all the others listed -
I didn't try) over any date range, and with many more options available (4
tabs for a transaction report).

Maybe this behaviour is something strange SuSE have done with their packaging,
but I can only report to the list what I can reproduce. If others can
reproduce alternate behaviour, then great - especially if it helps solve
Bob's problem for getting a report over a specific date range.

Maf.
