Uhh, you're right, but still confused.  The only checkbox on the
invoice near the date is the "active" checkbox..  This defaults to
being checked.  If you mark an invoice inactive it is automatically
hidden from default searches.  But it has absolutely nothing to do
with anything else except the search feature.
