gconfd-1

[Derek Atkins]

I assume it's dying with a message of "cannot contact configuration
daemon"?  If so, then make sure it's really running:

  ps auxww | grep gconfd

You may need to run something like gconfd-1.bin or gconfd-1.real
to get the real binary running.
