Why the global reference does not change the reports?

Sorry about the trouble! I meant that the options of the report should be 
automatically saved when the program exits. I think #1 makes the whole report 
(including oprions of course) saved by GNUCash, not merely the options, such 
as the starting date of the report(e. g. From 08/01/2004), ending date of the 
report(e. g. To Today) and etc. Although #1 have the same result as saving 
options, we may face difficulty when we have lots of accounts opened on the 
startup of GNUCash. Presently I have only one account, so this won't do any 
trouble to me.
