just off the top of my head.

I've been dabbling with Linux for years now, but only recently moved 
entirely to FC3.  I've never regretted it.  And every time a new piece 
of malware hits the MS world, I congratulate myself.

I don't hate Bill Gates, or MS.  We still have two PCs at home that used 
Windows - for gaming, where MS still (and probably will for a long time) 
rocks. But a modern linux, with a good package update mechanism, and - 
yes - a smidgeon (but only that) of tech savviness on the part of the 
user, is a totally reasonable alternative to MS these days.
