Buying US stocks from a canadian cash account

Hi,

I'm not sure how to do this.  I have an investment account that has
is in canadian dollars.  I have purchased a US stock.  The way this is
represented is that the purchase price and the commission are in $USD
and then there is an exchange rate applied to the whole transaction.

How would I properly express this in gnucash?
