Hi,
Debit/Credit is specific accounting terminology. To view the
column headings in layman's terms, you may wish to go to
Edit->Preferences->Accounts(top option on the left)->
uncheck the "Use Accounting Labels" box.
Then your columns will say "Deposit" and "Withdrawl" instead
of "Debit" and "Credit" in your check book register. For
your credit card the columns will say "Payment" and "Charge"
etc. so that it's easier to know which column to type your
numbers into.
