problem selling stocks

Select the transaction, right click, select Edit Exchange Rates.
You're hitting http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116353 .
The problem is that your locale currency is not the same as the
currency you're trying to use, and gnucash doesn't support that
yet.  The workaround (as mentioned in the bug report) is to create
the transaction from the bank-account side instead of the stock-account
side).  This will properly set the transaction currency.
