There are very good reasons not to use it. The one that applies to me is
some proprietary binary only programs that will not run in RHEL 4 and I
would need new licenses to get the newer versions or those programs that
will run on RHEL 4.
I have it RHEL 4 (actually CentOS 4.3) on my old machine and I will try to
find the RPMs for that and hope I can install them.
