Serious problem: can not open data file anymore!

Hi all,

I've run into a serious problem - I can not open my data anymore in
GnuCash since yesterday. I'm going to restore a backup now, but I think
I've ran into a serious bug. The program starts up normally, then opens
a window which I guess is a "scheduled transactions" window (I do not
recall having any scheduled transactions _now_ but I may be mistaken in
that, and I obviously can not check).

Running from the terminal I get the following output:
