No.  GnuCash does just fine keeping stock prices.  Use "Tools->Security
Editor" and edit the individual securities there to tell GnuCash which
ones it should get online quote for.  You can look at the quotes that
GnuCash has retrieved by going to "Tools->Price Editor".  Retrieved
quotes will be used in the reports and in computing the value of
accounts.
