Resend: Stock sale skews balance sheet by commission amount

I don't know to either determine or modify what currency this
particular transaction used. Where do I look? I tried to choose
"Edit Exchange Rate" from the context menu, but nothing happened when
I picked that item (no menu displayed or anything). The account
seems to be set for the correct commodity, as far as I can tell.
