I guess you experience the reported bug
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449153 .  We updated ORBit2, a
library we depend on, for GnuCash 2.2.1.  Maybe downgrading that one is
a short-term solution for you?  Just extract

ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/ORBit2/2.13/ORBit2-2.13.3.zip

into your GnuCash folder.
