You mean a stock that has split -- exchanging 1 share for some large
number of shares with less value? how have you recorded this
transaction?

The report expects a stock split to be recorded as a change in the
number of shares with no price.

I used the stock split option in gnucash under Actions.  The register
shows the additional  number of shares with no price, i.e. so the
total number of shares has doubled.  The Advanced Portfolio report has
nothing for the stock under Basis and nothing in the  "Gain" columns.
It doesn't matter if the accounting method is Average Cost, FIFO or
FILO.
