   Stand by, please.

   I've cleaned out the SLIB and re-installed -3.1.1 from the zip file in
/usr/local/share/guile/1.6. This cleaned up the above error.

   It also appears that I have an incomplete g-wrap installation. There is no
gw-glib.scm. So, I'm going to fix that problem first, then see if configure
completes.
