improper basis for multiple funds purchased simultaneously

Hi,

In Gnucash 2.0.1 I have tried setting up a transaction that contained
splits for the purchase of two mutual funds simultaneously. This works
without any problems, except when I try to use the Advanced Portfolio
report. Here's how my example is set up:

account debit credit
Equity:Opening Balances $20000
Assets:Brokerage Account $20000

account debit credit
Assets:Brokerage Account $20000
Assets:S&P 500 Index Fund $10000
(100 shares of FSMKX at $100 each)
Assets:Bond Index Fund $10000
(1000 shares of FBIDX at $10 each)

Then download or manually add some prices (for example FSMKX $98.32 and
FBIDX $10.80) so that there is a little bit of gain or loss. Now go to
Reports -> Assets & Liabilities -> Advanced Portfolio. Here is what I
get:

It appears as though this report uses the cash split portion of the
second transaction as the basis cost for each fund purchase, instead of
using the fund split portion of the transaction. The workaround is to
break the purchases into two separate transactions, but I would prefer
not to have to do this. Is there a good reason for using the cash split
portion of the transaction as the basis?

I can attach an example file if you don't want to enter the data
yourself.

Jeff
