about quickfill and Japanese Input Methods

The register was developed well before gtk was improved for i18n in gtk2, and
it generally implements a lot of GUI handling itself.  There is an
in-progress register-rewrite that uses native GTK widgets directly that
should majorly help in this area.

There is not a way to disable quickfill, presently.  Others have requested it
... either to deal with this issue (less frequently), or just because they
don't like its behavior.  There's call to disable it both globally and on a
per-transaction basis (with something like ctrl-tab).

If there is not an existing "preference to disable quickfill" bug/RFE for
that, please file one at
