Loading 1.8.12 into 2.0.99

I know this message is from a while ago, but just in case someone has the 
same problem, all you have to do is (on the command line):

apt-get update
apt-get install gnucash

Knoppix is based on debian, and it can easily install debian apps.

When you reboot gnucash will be gone, unless you make a persistent folder.
