Reconciliation: Incorrect Starting Balance

Sunil,

I have to disagree with you.  I did say in my earlier post that I use the 
Auto-Split view as default, and that other views may be different (but a 
basic view transaction  in the register doesn't look like what's above)   

If I try to alter a transaction like the one you illustrate, (from the XYZ 
register window) then the following happens:
Change Date - no warning
Change XYZ (Description or Notes) - No Warning
Change Expenses:xyz   10   - no warning
Change Assest:Bank   10 - warning as soon as I make a change in any of the 
Memo, Xfer Account, or numeric fields.

Like I said, that may not be the case if you use basic view.
