Is there any way to copy an account sub-hierarchy?

Nope, the only way is to edit the XML.  But that's okay because,
well, it's a RARE thing.  It's not something that most end users are
expected to do, and it's not something that's really done often enough
to warrant spending time to code it.  It would take more time to
build and test a tool than it is to hand-edit the XML.
