Perhaps so to a person who "knows his Linux" but to this doddery old
geriatric what he thought he had to do turned out to be incorrect.

I opened a terminal and changed to the directort in which jGnucashEditor
resided (/home/zed/Downloads/Extracted/jGnucashEditor)
resided; made sure that bin.sh was executable and then issued the command.
Below is the result of that action.

zed at zed-desktop ~ $ cd
/home/zed/Downloads/Extracted/jGnucashEditor-bin-2.0.11
zed at zed-desktop ~/Downloads/Extracted/jGnucashEditor-bin-2.0.11 $ run.sh
bash: run.sh: command not found
zed at zed-desktop ~/Downloads/Extracted/jGnucashEditor-bin-2.0.11 $ run.sh
bash: run.sh: command not found
zed at zed-desktop ~/Downloads/Extracted/jGnucashEditor-bin-2.0.11 $ run.bat
bash: run.bat: command not found
zed at zed-desktop ~/Downloads/Extracted/jGnucashEditor-bin-2.0.11 $

As you will see from the above, trying run.bat resulted in the same time of
response.

Where to now, please?

I am running LinuxMint v5.0
