Gnucash 2.2.8 - won't open accounts file

Yes, Steve, same experience.
When I tried to get the accounts template after installing 2.2.8. [either in
the English or any other language] nothing happened after selecting "all" ,
but I didn't get an error message. 
I work with WinXP SP3.
