change of transaction date during qif import

Hi,

I switched to gnucash 2.2.8 on Windows XP recently. I am just a bit worried what the qif importer is doing with the transaction dates, e.g.

NAssets:Current Assets:Cash
D
TCash
/01.01.2002
$0.00
^
!Type:Cash
D8.8.05
U-10
T-10
N60
M     
LExpenses:Other:EUR:Candice

^

results in a transaction for the 7th of August 2005 and not the 8th!

How can I fix it?
